Why we need your support

The Theatre has been at the heart of the community in Chipping Norton for almost 50 years. As an independent theatre, and a registered charity, the support of individuals, trusts and grants is extremely important to us.

Of course, when a show comes to the Theatre, the majority of the takings, rightly, go to the visiting company and performers. We do not receive subsidy from the government or the Arts Council and, although around 75% of our income is from tickets and sales, an excellent achievement for a theatre of our size, we need to raise an additional £250,000 annually to continue to do what we do best; stage inspiring work, and stay accessible to everyone in the community by keeping ticket prices low and extending our outreach and access initiatives.

Add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you.

A Gift Aid declaration allows The Theatre to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to The Theatre can claim back 25p from HMRC, at no extra cost to you. Imagine what a difference that could make - and it doesn’t cost you a thing.

Backstage Tours
