Chipping Norton Theatre hopes to begin events following this timetable:

  • In person and online workshops and activities from April 19th
  • Outdoor gallery and audio walking tour from 1st May
  • Indoor, socially distanced performances from 20th May
  • Outdoor Cinema from 27th May
  • Outdoor live performances from 25th June

This timetable will amend to any changes applied to the goverment's roadmap for re-opening. 


Outdoor Events before 21st June

   

Socially distanced seating plan, with bubbles of no more than 6 people, from no more than 2 households or support bubbles.

 

We would request, for COVID security and audience member's peace of mind, that face coverings are worn when not seated in the audience areas. 

   

Sanitizing stations located onsite.

If you are feeling unwell, have a fever, or have received a positive COVID test, please don't attend. 

If you need to cancel your visit due to self-quarantine, we will do our best to reseat you for a future performance, or offer you a box office credit note (minus a small admin fee of £1 per ticket).

 

Outdoor events after 21st June

Outdoor events taking place after 21st June will initially be booked on a socially distanced basis. If lockdown restrictions are eased, we may increase venue capcaity, whilst maintaining COVID safety. 

Indoor Events before 21st June

 

   

Socially distanced seating plan, with bubbles of no more than 6 people, from 1 household or support bubble. Audiences will be seated in groups "one metre plus" apart, according to our socially-distanced seating plan. Seating capacity will be between 55 and 75 depending on the sizes of social bubbles. In order to facilitate social distancing and Track and Trace, all guests would be required to book their seats via our box office. 

 

Masks or face coverings should be worn at all times by anyone over 11 in the bar and foyer. In line with government guidance, masks may be removed in the auditorium if you are consuming food or drinks.

A one way system is in use and will be clearly signposted for you upon arrival.

Workshop Precautions

All in-person workshops use rooms marked up for social distancing. Workshop leaders will wear masks and all participants over the age of 11 will be required to wear masks when entering the building, unless exempt (please bring an exemption card). Further guidance will be given by the workshop leader, and in advance by letter or email.
