Mental Health

Our Mental Health programme launched in 2021, in response to calls for help for the young people of Chippy and beyond in the wake of the devastating impact of the pandemic on youth mental health.

Each year, we work with two year groups at Chipping Norton School to provide weekly mental health sessions for those on the Children & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) waiting list and those referred by teachers and staff due to low mood, anxiety or other mental health needs.

Weekly sessions run by practitioner Abie Walton and supported by Clare O’Hara see the group explore drama games and exercises to build confidence, self-esteem, coping skills, friendships, peer support, and much much more.

If you are a parent looking to support your child's mental health please have a look at our Mental Health Parent Support Group here.
