Tickets for The Theatre Chipping Norton’s Pantomime are now on sale. The Snow Queen Pantomime, written by Toby Hulse, takes the traditional fairytale and delivers a heartwarming adventure with the classic pantomime experience. The pantomime will run between 18th November and 17th January.

The story is set in Christmas-loving town of Kristingle and follows the story of the spiteful Snow Queen Sophia who, newly crowned, decides to cancel Christmas and all festivities, with anyone caught celebrating it being thrown into the dungeons. Gerda, the heroine of the story, and her best friend Kai challenge the queen and go on to melt her heart. The pantomime will feature the well-loved elements that The Theatre delivers year after year including dazzling dames, sweet snowstorms and plenty of jokes.

A boutique rural theatre at the heart of its community, The Theatre is known nationally for its Pantos and was awarded ‘Outstanding contribution to Innovation’ at the UK Panto awards in 2024. Last year’s Beauty and the Beast entertained 42 schools from 5 counties and a further 12,000 friends and families.

“On the back of the confidence given by our audiences year after year we chose to be bolder with our choice of story this year. Toby Hulse has delivered an exciting and enchanting script which I am sure will surprise and delight both regular and new audiences.

We would encourage locals to book soon to secure their preferred date and seats now it is on sale as Peak options go fast”. John Terry, Artistic Director
