Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and capable Costume Maker to join the costume team for our award-winning, nationally-renowned Christmas pantomime at The Theatre Chipping Norton. This year it is the classic tale of Beauty and the Beast, but with a twist!

The Costume Maker would join the team full-time for 12 days in total, on-site at The Theatre Chipping Norton between 5^th – 21^st November 2025. They will be working with and responsible to our Wardrobe Supervisor and Costume Designer. They will also be working alongside a team of costume makers and volunteers.

The candidate will have experience in costume making for theatre and working in a fast-paced environment. Previous pantomime experience is desirable but not essential. We also ask candidates to bring their own equipment - The Theatre will pay for servicing (up to £80) at the end of the contract.

Candidates will be asked to give examples of previous work, and ideally be able to share a portfolio of some examples.

Freelance Fee:£1205 plus digs accommodation and travel (if based more than 25 miles away from The Theatre)
