About 'Strange Meetings' and 'Heroes in the Sky' Theatrical Double Bill

Please note: This is an external event not produced or promoted by The Theatre and for which Chipping Norton Theatre is acting as a ticketing agent.

Two theatrical presentations, revealing hidden stories from the two World Wars.

‘Strange Meetings’ is the tale of poet and WW1 soldier Wilfred Owen, from his experiences in the trenches to his recovery from shell-shock, drawing on his personal writing. This is his story, told in his own words.

‘Heroes in the Sky’ brings to life forgotten tales of the Battle of Britain, mixing accounts of derring-do and personal anecdotes from the Second World War.

Together, the two pieces show us the human face of war, told with lyrical charm, and fusing both pathos and humour to provide an entertaining, moving, and uplifting experience.

Spike Rose Productions hail from the Shropshire / Mid-Wales border, and create theatre under the mantra: Telling stories that matter. Previous shows have tackled themes such as Depression and stigma around mental health, and identity issues.
