About Ballet Central
Following a widely celebrated 2025 tour, Ballet Central returns in 2026 with a brand-new company of dancers and a revitalising programme of classical ballet and contemporary dance.
Join us to experience the magic of live dance, showcasing the excellence of Central School of Ballet’s next generation of dancers.
The 2026 programme presents one of Kenneth MacMillan’s earlier works, Solitaire. Staged for Ballet Central by Lynn Wallis, Solitaire is a ballet that contrasts scenes of loneliness and friendship, woven together by Malcolm Arnold’s intricate score Eight English Dancers (Opp. 27 and 33).
MA Choreography alumnus, Cameron McMillan, brings to life the looping crescendo that is Ravel’s Boléro. A community in motion, McMillan confronts and reframes the legacy and nostalgia of the score in his exciting new work, BOLERO 18.
Next in this year’s repertoire is REPLICA, a series of mirrored realities played out through abstract storytelling. Choreography by Monique Jonas (Jona Dance), this contemporary work is a physicalised exploration of perception, the external world versus internal thought, on truth and illusion.
Times Square Ballet, an excerpt from Ashley Page's musical On the Town, is sure to delight audiences with its rhythm, glamour and romance. This hectic night of fun reflects the hustle and bustle of the famous Broadway theatre district during the 1940s.
