William Tombs
William is an artist, actor, and theatre maker, with nearly twenty years’ experience facilitating drama and creative projects for young people and adults.
Performing for international audiences led him to pursue visual storytelling in an effort to bridge the language barrier, specialising for a long time in mask (comic half-mask particularly) and puppet theatre, as well as movement and body language. An abiding interest in the voice and in poetry rounds out his theatrical sensibilities.
He seeks to empower actors through the development of their own physical, vocal, and imaginative resources, and to inspire them to be creators. It is his belief (and experience) that cooperative theatrical endeavour helps us to understand each other and ourselves.
