Pippa Phillips
Pippa joined the Take Part team in 1996.
Since the age of four, Pippa has been passionate about the performing arts and gained a Creative Arts Degree at Manchester Metropolitan University. Although being in love with the stage, performing in, directing and choreographing many shows and festivals, Pippa knew she wanted to teach and attained a PGCE at Middlesex University.
After starting her teaching career at a school just outside London, she later moved to Oxfordshire where she decided to go freelance. This led her to teaching at Brackley Dance School, Banbury College and joining our Youth Theatre as a facilitator and later as Youth Musical Theatre Director. Pippa also ran her own Theatre in Education company called Ballyrag, which toured many schools in Oxfordshire and castles on the Isle of White for English Heritage.
Pippa teaches LAMDA at a number of senior schools, leads drama and Youth Musical Theatre workshops here and in Cheltenham and tutors young people for drama scholarships and auditions for the National Youth Theatre and drama schools.
Pippa loves drama “… not only for the skills and confidence it develops, but for the creativity and friendships it enables.”
