Two Panto actors who have been a hit with local audiences return to The Theatre Chipping Norton this winter. Firstly, Evie James, who has appeared in three pantos here, last as Fairy Fee in Dick Whittington. And Jack Huckin, who was a lead in Jack and the Beanstalk both return to one of their favourite theatres this winter.

This year’s Panto, Beauty and the Beast, is written by The Theatre’s own Artistic Director John Terry. It takes on a new, hilarious slant on this well-loved story. Set in the small French town of Saint Saucisson, the plot will see Pierre, played by Jack Huckin, trying to win the heart of Beauty, played by Rebecca Jo-Roberts.

Evie James trained in Musical Theatre at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and has worked extensively in Comedy and Family Theatre and is the Choreographer and Assistant Director for The Rude Mechanical Theatre Company. “I am beyond thrilled to be back at Chippy Panto for the fourth time, there is something truly magical about this Theatre. The Pantomimes are always crafted beautifully, with a bucket load of imagination.”

Jack Huckin trained at The Guildhall School of Acting and The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. "Nobody does pantomime quite like Chippy. Being part of Jack and the Beanstalk last year was an incredible experience and one in which I learned so much. This year, I’m thrilled to return. I can’t wait to bring the magic of the Chippy panto back to audiences once again.”

The Panto runs from 19th November 2025 to 18th January 2026 and special Early Bird ticket prices are available until the 31st July.
