Join us for a modern retelling of Hansel and Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck: when a portal opens up to a magical world in Hansel and Gretel's video game, they embark on a delicious adventure - but is everything as it appears?

A twist on the classic fairytale, this is Hansel and Gretel as you've never seen it before.

Workshop Information

What Is the Workshop About?

Children will explore the story of Hansel and Gretel and learn about the main characters and their roles within the opera. Through engaging activities, they will discover how music, singing, and movement help bring the story to life on stage.

Participants will take part in interactive exercises that introduce them to the opera's music and encourage creative expression through singing and movement. They will also gain an understanding of how performers work together to tell the story through drama and music. The participants will learn their involvement /role in the performance.

By the end of the workshop, children will have developed a better understanding of Hansel and Gretel, gained insight into the world of opera, and enjoyed a fun and accessible introduction to this exciting art form.

We recommend they also wear comfortable clothes/shoes.
