Broughton Castle

Broughton Castle

Broughton Castle is a medieval fortified manor house in the village of Broughton. The castle sits on an island in pastureland and is surrounded by a wide moat.

Open Air Events will take place in the courtyard with the castle as backdrop.

Tickets can be booked in one of two zones.  In Zone A audiences are closer to the screen (not too close!) and can sit on the grass or bring a picnic blanket from home. In Zone B, audiences may sit on fold up/camping chairs bought from home, or hire deck chairs from us.

Toilets are available in the castle's car park, with two portable toilets available at the site itself.

Made available by the generous support of the Fiennes family and Broughton Castle.

Broughton Castle is 2.5 miles from the centre of Banbury, and 12 miles from Chipping Norton.

From Banbury: At Banbury Cross take the B4035 west signposted to Shipston on Stour then, after about two miles, turn right in Broughton village at the crossroads by the Saye & Sele Arms pub. At the bottom of the hill turn left into the drive.  The car park is on your left next to the Church.

From Chipping Norton: Follow the A361 towards Banbury. Just after you pass the Vantage Business Park on your left, and just before you reach the outskirts of Banbury, take a left turn onto Wykham Lane. This will take you into the village of Broughton, from where the castle and its car park is sign-posted.

This location is not served by public transport. Ample parking is available onsite.

Disabled Parking is available closer to the venue, but there is a short distance on paved road from the car park to the venue. The viewing area is on mowed grass.

Assistance and guide dogs welcome.
