YOUNG MUNGO

Douglas Stuart

21 April 2022

Douglas Stuart won the 2020 Booker Prize with his first novel, Shuggie Bain, whose central character won readers’ hearts with his determination to make a better life for his alcoholic mother. We’re thrilled to welcome Douglas to ChipLitFest with his second novel, Young Mungo, just days after its publication. Already acclaimed by those lucky enough to see an advance copy, it’s a vivid portrayal of working-class life and the moving story of the dangerous first love of two young men.

Douglas will be interviewed by Joe Haddow.
