Stones in His Pockets

The world famous comedy by Marie Jones

2016 - 2017

Touring Nationally Spring 2016, transfering to Dublin's Smock Alley Theatre in Spring 2017.

A quiet Irish village is turned upside down with the arrival of a Hollywood film crew, looking for the ‘real’ Ireland for their latest schmaltzy blockbuster. A pair of extras, Charlie and Jake, watch with amazement, envy and delight as cultures clash, divas strop and everyone fights over the last portion of lemon meringue pie.

Two actors play a vast array of eccentric and lovable characters in this universally loved, worldwide comic theatre sensation. Written with poignancy and sincerity and performed at breakneck pace, this play has made a deep connection with audiences in over 30 countries.

“The show has lost none of its teeth - superb display of comic timing and physical performance” - **** The Stage

"Puts larger, more important producers/producing theatres to shame with this demonstration of what can be achieved with what I would imagine to be limited funds and resources. It is a pity more better placed regional theatres are not producing work of this quality.” **** - Stage Talk Magazine
