MUSE

Ruth Millington

22 April 2022

Ruth Millington uncovers the hidden figures behind the masterpieces and shows us how, far from posing silently, muses have brought energy, creativity and practical help to artists. From da Vinci to VogueMuse tells their stories of inspiration. Ruth will be joined by Sophie Haydock, author of The Flames, who explores the stories of the four women in Egon Schiele's paintings. These captivating books ask the reader to look again at the art and see the real-life women that helped shape some of the best-known images in painting and sculpture.

Ruth and Sophie will be interviewed by Compton Verney senior curator, Amy Orrock.
