Monsieur Hulot's Holiday (U)

(Les Vacances de Monsieur Hulot)

Playing at The Theatre

Sat 19th January

Jacques Tati's glorious 1953 comic masterpiece follows its lovably gauche protagonist as he attempts to relax "en vacances". Infinitely clumsy, but blissfully unaware of the destruction he leaves behind him, Hulot is a worthy successor to Chaplin and Keaton's characters. An effortlessly well-choreographed fusion of gags, slapstick and satire which launched Tati to international stardom. A chance to see one of the most enjoyabgle milestones in comic cinema history.
