After watching swallows dart through a midsummer evening in South Africa, Tim Dee decided to chart their extraordinary migration, along with other birds such as storks and honey buzzards. Travelling with the season and referencing other writers and poets through his lyrical writing, Tim follows the unfolding of spring through Africa, Spain and Britain to the shores of the Arctic Ocean.

Tim will be in conversation with Alexandra Harris.
