Playing at The Theatre

Thu 28th & Sun 31st March, Mon 1st and Sun 7th April

Written by Ben Elton and directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh alongside Judi Dench and Ian McKellan, this is a moving and critically lauded biopic of the bard. The greatest writer of the age, William Shakespeare, returns home after a devastating fire destroys the Globe Theatre.

Haunted by the death of his only son, he strives to repair the broken relationships with his wife and daughters. His very personal search for the truth uncovers secrets and lies within a family at war.
