We want to celebrate the work of the artists whose visits have been postponed due to closure, the ongoing projects we are supporting during closure, and recommendations about where else you can find great culture in the coming weeks.

Folk Legend Steve Knightley

We had to postpone a recent visit from 'Show of Hands' star, and Chippy favourite, Steve Knightley. To keep you going until his rescheduled gig on September 25th, Steve has shared a very intimate solo performance of his show 'A Musical Journey'. NHS Charity Single from Skerryvore

Skerryvore, whose gig has been postponed from Spring to October 3rd, released a chart topping single from quartantine in support of the NHS. Enjoy it below, alongside the trailer for their visit this autumn.

A dramatic response to the rise in domestic abuse

As the newspapers have shown, the current pandemic has also brought about a rise in domestic abuse. We are proud to share Oxfordshire-based theatre company Human Story's new play that deals with this topic, now hot off the press as an audio podcast. Chipping Norton Theatre is launching a community creative writing project called Speak as One. Got something you want to say? Why not have a crack at writing a short monologue for a single voice - it might even be professionally recorded and broadcast. Found our more on our Speak As One page here.
