WODC recognised the Theatre's vital role in not only providing high quality opportunities but also in attracting a significant number of visitors to the District who then contribute through their visit to the local economy.

Cllr Hilary Biles, West Oxfordshire District Council Cabinet Member for Leisure & Recreation said “Chipping Norton Theatre reaches beyond West Oxfordshire and supports activities for all residents, especially for young people through the Chipping Norton Youth Theatre. We are very happy to assist its programme in any way we can."

Theatre Director Caroline Sharman was thrilled at the news as it demonstrated the Council's recognition of The Theatre's significance within the arts community.
